I have been away for 2 weeks now and unfortunately I really don't have much time to keep up with the blog lately. I'm buying a house so I'm supper busy running around, getting various papers and buying furniture and screaming at people and by the end of the day I'm just exhausted!

Hopefully the sale will be concluded tomorrow and after about a week I shall be fully back!

MUFE Flash Color Base Review

Hello Biuties!

Today's review is on this marvelous little colored case from Make Up For Ever!

This palette contains creamy and pigmented flashy colors to create an array of looks, they can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks (be aware that some colors are not advised to be used on the eyes or the lips) on their own or as bases.

Just imagine the number of things that can be done with this!!!

You get 70g of products in a clear case and each color is contained in its own "box".

These Flash colors come in various forms, individual pots (7g) or in stick form (20g). Also the colors in this palette aren't the only colors available, you can get purple, lighter greens or pinks, or various shades of green and blue if you buy them individually.

Onto the good, the bad and the ugly truth!

{ LOVE }

The coverage: These colors are sooooo opaque its out of this world! The coverage depends on how much you apply of course but a little does go a very long way!
Longevity: I don't really use my UDPP anymore. At first I would just forget to apply it but then I realised that even without a primer this last a pretty long time and without creasing despite the fact that it is a cream product. I've never tried to apply this without setting this with some kind of powder so I have no idea how long they would last on the lids or anywhere else without something to set on top.
Feel / Formula: they are very different from the NYX jumbo pencils that's for sure but pretty close to MAC's paintpots. Although they are less creamier they are creamy enough to blend easily and without having to blend for ages or having to rub your eyes like crazy to spread it out. I definitely prefer to apply this with my fingers as their warmth will help them melt faster and easier and so blend with a lot more ease.
Colours / Pigmentation: There are 12 colors that you can mix and match to create your own shade. I think this is great as you can custom your own colors and achieve a color that you probably will never find in this form. I love matte finishes so having 10 of the colors with matte finish makes me a very happy woman indeed! As far as the pigmentation goes just check out the swatches below! super pigmented and opaque and even when blended out you still get a great splash of color.
Use: The possibilities are endless, use this on your eyes, cheeks, lips, body, as eyeliner, shadows, foundation correctors, blusher, base, face or body painting... Name it it can be done with a bit of imagination and a lot of fun!

{ LIKE }

The case: The transparent case makes it very easy to spot the colours and pick out what you want. You can see the colors from each side of the case except the bottom as its where the ingredients and names of the shades are written. The compartments in which the shades are divided up are big enough to dip your fingers in and any type of brush. I can imagine how easy it will be to pick products up even when a tiny amount of product is left.

{ HATE }

The case: I have a love/hate relationship with this case. Yes it is very usefull with it being transparent and big enough for fingers and big brushes however I just think its ugly and the fact that it is made out of plastic I'm always scared to drop it and break it. It sometimes feels a bit flimsy and for the price I wish they would have made it a lot sturdier. Plus a do think it is very chunky and the closing system isn't the greatest as the cover can easily slip off.
2 colors:The gold and the silver colors are ones that I will never use. They are quite sparkly and just awkward to work with in my opinion. If you blend them out too much you end up with only gold or silver glitters and if you don't blend enough you'll just end up in crease-ville!

{ LOATHE }

Price: I think this is super expensive and if I had to buy another one I know that I'll find a way to fund this. Plus I've heard that it's a product quite hard to find! However I have to admit that for the quality, amount of product and usefulness of this its well worth it!

{ OVERALL }

I don't think I will ever need to buy another base product. This is everything I've ever wanted and more. I use it with every look I do except with neutral looks.
You can use it all over your body (be aware that a few shades shouldn't be used on the face or lip areas).
You can mix and match colors, create your own shades and experiment as long as you want with this.
It will definitely last you a lifetime so if you can get this!!

Although I am very happy with this, I would LOOOOOOVE to try and compare this with the Inglot gel liners which come in a variety of shades and I almost lost my mind when I found out that they are waterproof as well!

MAC Prolongwear Foundation Review

I know that this review has been long overdue but rather late than never right!

A long-wear foundation that gives up to 15 hours of wear in any environmental condition. Lightweight and creamy, applies smoothly to provide sheer to medium coverage. Even in hot and humid conditions, controls oil to keep skin fresh, natural and flawless. Provides everyday SPF protection.

Pro Longwear Foundation

{ LOVE }

The coverage: A lot of people say that it is medium coverage but on me I find that it gives medium to full coverage. I also think that although it is lighter than the studio fix fluid (which to me is quite a thick formula) it gives me better and fuller coverage than its sister.
Longevity: This foundation stays on all day! I live in a really humid and hot place and despite that the foundation doesn't melt and stays put no matter what! When I sweat I no longer have to worry about my foundation melting and leaving streaks all over my face which is such a relief! I can wipe my face with a tissue and know that the foundation won't rub off. Heaven!
Something that should also be said is that since I have oily skin it isn't easy to keep the oily T-zone oil free for longer than 3 hours but with this foundation I can go on for 4-5 hours without needing much of a touch up and this is major!

{ LIKE }

Feel: the foundation feels quite soft on the face although sometimes I feel like I have foundation on (if that makes any sense). Its nice but can become sticky at times. I'm not one to rub my face all day long so it doesn't really bother me. You actually feel the foundation hold on to you skin at first but then you kind of get used to it.
The formula: it is super creamy, lighter than the Studio Fix Fluid and heavier than the Select liquid foundations. The fact that it only has a SPF10 definitely doesn't bother me and
The pump: This foundation comes with a pump already fitted to the bottle. The pump is the same style as MAC Fix+ sprays (and probably others of theirs bottles). I think this is such a great initiative from mac, it saves you spending 3 for the pump and is a lot more practical. I wish MAC gets the message and does that with every liquid foundation they do or will come up with.

{ HATE }

The pigmentation: As you can see from the pictures there is quite a difference between the various foundation despite the fact that in theory they are all the same shade (NC50). I was very surprised to see how "red" and dark the foundation was compared to my other foundations. Sometimes I think that it looks to red on me but other times it looks ok. I sometimes need to mix it up with a tiny bit of Studio Fix Fluid to balance the colour and hate doing that just because when I spend good money on a foundation I want it to be right and don';t want to have to "work" to make it right. Word of caution though, some people say that missing this foundation with others changes its consistency and it just ends up looking weird, fortunately I don't have this experience (yet?).
Removal: Taking this foundation off is quite a pain for me. It is set so strongly onto my face I need 3 to 5 makeup removing wipes to take it all of plus cleansing lotion and a wash. I usually only need 2 wipes and a wash...
Application: once on, this foundation dries so so fast. In order to spread it evenly and blend it well into the skin you have to work pretty fast or else it dries and gets harder to spread or blend. Unless you have super speed powers or you are a master of makeup application its best to work in sections that way you get more control over the application and blend.

{ LOATHE }

Nothing! Nada! Rien!

{ OVERALL }

The best foundation I've ever used hands down!

Coverage is great as well as the formula but the #1 reason this foundation is one of the best in my eyes is the longevity. Despite the humidity and heat it stays on all day, doesn't easily rub off and doesn't melt.

Despite the odd pigmentation this foundation has a good formula, feels good on the skin and the blottle comes with a bonus: a pump!

I definitely would recommend anyone to give this a try. If you are a WOC (Woman Of Color) and have been looking at all of those longwear foundations by drugstore brands that only do shades for lighter skin tones (like Bourgois 10h sleep foundation) give this one a go, chances are you won't regret it!

MAC Says:
A lightweight fluid concealer that provides medium to full coverage with a comfortable, natural matte finish. Colour-true formula lasts up to 15 hours. Helps conceal and correct the look of under-eye circles, and discolorations. Comes in a clear glass vial with a matte black pump.

{ LOVE }

The coverage: Nice absolute full coverage concealer. I swear I've never used such a full coverage product. I have bags under my eyes and they can be quite dark and puffy but this concealer completely covers them. I've tried the select moisturecover and studio sculpt concealers and this one is the best by a mile.
Longevity: Just like the foundation it lasts a very longtime on the face. I tend to tear up quite a lot specially when its windy or I have the aircon on the face therefore I spend my days taping the tears away and rubbing my lashline and at the end of the day the concealer is still there! Even if I don't set it with a powder it still last a pretty long time and most importantly doesn't crease.
Feel: Although it is full coverage it doesn't feel heavy on the face. I love that I can build it up and without feeling that I have way too much on. However once applied it does feel sticky to the touch but as it dries it becomes a lot smoother and doesn't transfer.

The formula: it is super creamy probably creamier than the foundation! It glides on very easily and again its quite opaque.
The pigmentation: Although I don't love it nor hate it I think the opacity of this is spot on. Very opaque and coverage is amazing however again it is a bit too red for me, I can't use this concealer with any other foundation than the pro longwear one as it just looks too odd. This is red and other fondations clearly have a yellower undertone and you can clearly see the difference in color. So yeah can't mix and match (I personally don't mind that but it still sucks...)

{ HATE }

The pump:Unfortunately I feel that the pump mechanism isn't appropriate for the type of product. I feel that it gives out way too much product and I always end up wondering what to do with the leftover on my hand. One pump is more than enough in my opinion and I just wish MAC had stuck to their standard wand for concealers. They allow a better control of the amount of product used.

I ADORE this concealer.
So easy to apply and even if blnding should be done in a record time the results are well worth it!
Full coverage and longlasting this concealer is my kind of product: true to its word!
Although the pump system isn't appropriate for this product as you get too much product out, this is something that I will buy and buy again.
The big BUT for me would be the shade of the foundation, I can only seem to use it with the pro longwear foundation and as using it with other ones just looks odd because it is redder than my other foundations.

I definitely would recommend anyone to give this a try. If you get teary a lot and need a full coverage concealer that lasts all day through the tears and all you should try this I promise it's worth it!

Hello Biuties!

The previous post was just about showing the products and the swatches but now its time to share my though on everything I got.

For pictures and swatches of all the products its here!

As a whole I think the collection is suitable to every skintone out there, it has a good balance of colorful and neutral/toned down shades. It being a "summer" collection you obvioulsy get a lot of golds, corals and bronzers but also a hint of flashy color.

Before getting into what I picked up lets check out what was left behind:

Pigments and crushed metallic pigments: I'm not really a pigment person to start of with, I have 1 pigment by MAC and hardly use it (Melon); I also have crushed metallic pigment and don't really use them as I just find them too chunky...
Powerpoint eye pencils: I just don't want to pay that much for pencils to be honest and I already have quite a lot so I kind of never pick up any MAC pencil... (except "Feline" or "Smolder" as I just love their intensity)
Nail lacquers: Again I just find MAC's nail polishes too expensive and not very good quality overall, they can sometimes be great and other times be horrible to work with, so best to skip them all together.
Suntints liquid lip balms: I don't really see the point of these, apparently they aren't pigmented and although they contain some spf in them I rather keep my cash!
Bronzing powder: I think that if you want to get a bronzer you have to be able to test it first as you want to get the shade right. I can't test them so I'm not buying, plus I don't really care for bronzers.
Skinsheen bronzer sticks: As explained above I don't care for bronzers at all plus I hate cream products, I just find that they don't suit me in general so I didn't bother with these

I don't know why the UK website doesn't sell the makeup bags from this collection but the french website does and I was tempted to get them but nah, I already have enough of those!

Enough about the dislikes, lets get into the heat of the collection!

.... Lipsticks....

I got Mocha (peachy yellow-brown) as I thought it would look great on me with a lighter lipglass and I was so right! I love this and it is soooo pigmented and opaque! I also love the fact that its a permanent so if I like it too much I can still buy another one.

The other lipstick I got was Hibiscus (bright orange coral), I never try coral lipsticks and I just thought I'd give this one a try. It has great pigmentation and I wish it would have the same finish as Mocha but I still love it the way it is :)

I wanted to get Burt out! (dirty midtone violet) but I read it was very close to Up the Amp so I skipped it.

I am very happy to report that I could not find in my stash a shade like Krazy Kahuna, nothing came close to it! I love it when I can't find a dupe and this lipglass is so pigmented and opaque, just my kind of product!!

Saffron is a really pretty color and buildable! At first you think its not pigmented but when you start to build up the color it is gorgeous! Beautiful sheen as well.

Surf USA is such a pretty teal color! The sheen is what makes this product so popular and the pigmentation is crazy!!! Gorgeous color, GET IT!

I am also very happy to say that I could not find a dupe for Sun Blonde! At this point I am pretty happy with myself lol!

My Paradise is a dark coral blusher with a golden spray of a design. I hate that overspray! It is very sparkly and sparkly and me don't match! On the other side the coral color is gorgeous! I have nothing that looks like this even within the eyeshadows so I'm pretty happy to have gotten it. It should be said that the 2 shades mixed together give such a pretty color! on the lid this would look great for sure and still no dupes for it! I think I'll have to rub part of the overspray off because I just can't use that as a blusher.

Lush-Light Bronze Studio careblend pressed powder was bought just because I love my careblend pressed powder in Dark. Lush-Light Bronze is very close to my skintone but a tad bit darker and a bit redder as well. It would look really well as neutral blusher or a subtle contouring powder. I still love it!

Rated R is such a pretty color and I am ashamed of saying that it probably has only been used once :(
It came out with the "Love That Look" MAC collection in July 2009 and I remember how in love I was with the eyeshadows. Pigmented beyond belief and I still think they are the best e/s MAC has ever made!!!

So I had to pick it up and vow to make my brushes twirl and dance in it at least once a week!!

It is a mustardy green (green with yellow undertones) when used on it own or on a white base
When used with a yellow base it gets deeper and the yellow undertone truly comes out
With a green base it becomes a true vibrant chartreuse green color
A black base will turn this eyeshadow into a foiled antique gold color, so pretty!

I have been using this so much this month! Love the colors and pigmentation as well

The fact that most of these are matte is a huge plus!

Professionails nail polish #236

Favorite nail polish of all time I think.
The colour is gorgeous and it stays on for weeks without a need for a touch up.

Lipsticks

These lipstick have been used almost everyday during April and I just can't put them down!
Spiceflower by MAC is a soft and muted rasberry-pink color, great for a nude lip with a hint of color
B52 by NYX is a matte medium pink shade with a bit of brown in it. Used with a lip liner the result is so pretty!

E.L.F Eyebrow kit

I have been using this for years and it works for me. The reason why I am putting it in my favorties of the month is because I realised i've never spoken about this and I use it everyday so it had to be featured somewhere!
Sorry its all dirty and nasty but at least it is being used all the time!
There is a creamy section (dark brown) to fill in the brows and there is the powdered section (to color) which I don't use. Instead I use MAC Brun eyeshadow

Crown Brushes BK14 Deluxe Oval Shadow brush

This is my favorite brush to apply eyeshadow all over the lid.
It is super dense and picks up a lot of color, transfers it all to the lid with minimal fallout. £2.76 of heaven!

I was playing around in my makeup this weekend and picked up a few products I had forgotten a bit about...

Within those products was this blusher right here and I instantly remembered why I had bought it.

Band Of Roses is a mineralize duo blush which came out last year with the "In The Groove" collection.

I'm definitely not a fan of mineralize products just because they usually have sparkle in them.

However Band Of Roses has such a beautiful sheen and the color payoff is amazing. The sparkles don't bother me as I can't see them once applied on my face so that's a definite plus!

This picture alone tells me something is wrong! But if you check out the rest of them pictures you will be blown away by the scale of the fakeness lol, Despite that 2 people have already bud on it...

MAC 7 Colors Eye Shadow & 2 Blusher Palette NIB

The picture says it all... but the most shocking part is the price:£18 for this plus you'll have to pay a ridiculous $10 to get it posted if you live outside of the US...

The top of that palette looks nasty with them orange dots! This is supposed to be from the Graphic Garden collection yet the box has a leopard print on it... talk about confusion!

MAC False lash effect mascara

This got me laughing so much! The tube looks like a Maybelline mascara painted in black with a MAC sticker in the middle! Plus that box is just too funny with those smoldering eyes... Fakeness in all of its glory!

And the #1 ebay fuckery of the day is...

MAC mascara black

This is #1 because first of all the packaging is beyond horrendous! Even if it wasn't MAC I wouldn't buy it just because of the packaging alone!

But the funniest thing is what is written on the side of the box: "Zoom Lash Mascara"and next to it is written "Rouge a Levres" which is french for lipstick...

Talk about confused, ugly and totally fake!

My little finger tells me everything here is faaaaaaaake! Look at that makeup bag, it looks like they actually just put a sticker on there lol. Hello Biuties!

Last month I went to a makeup exhibition here and discovered this brand. They specialize in nails, hand and footcare for the professional manicurist, pedicurist and nail stylist in particular but anyone can get a hold of their products really.

I believe its a Belgian company as their headquaters is there and not only do they distribute and sell nail products they also do training courses.

Anyways here are a few polishes I got:

It is such a shame these don't have names! They deserve so much better! lol

They are pigmented, longlasting and at £8 each pretty affordable.

#237 is a dark turquoise color very pigmented, with 2 coats you get a gorgeous end result!
#233 is a bright coral color
#236 is a perfect nude color it stayed on my nails for 2 whole weeks and it actually still looked good!

This is a haul of a few things I got recently from MAC and i just thought I'd share!

*Quite Cute collection*

I love the name of this collection its cute and girly however its not really for WOC. The colors are just too pale and light and only a few products would look good on us.

I picked up Candy Yum Yum and Girl (Hearts) Boy

Candy Yum Yum is a very vibrant and bright neon pink with a matte finish; I loooooove this color! It is so bright and for a lover of bright colors this is a must have!!!

Girl (Hearts) Boy is a light blue pink plushglass and I have to confess I got this mainly for the name LOL. I like the color, I'm not crazy for it but I'll make it work... somehow...

I was tempted by the lipliners but I can get some cheaper than MAC ones so I skipped these and the nail polishes were sooo tempting but I really don't like MAC nail polishes and I can get the same shades for cheaper somewhere else...

A collection that I should have proberly skipped... Not crazy about the colors, found out I had dupes and I'll probably be selling some of these on :(

Riveting Rose lipstick is a deep burgundy color with blue pearls. Its a very pretty color but again I could get the same effect with other lipsticks that I've got.

Indigo Pink lipglass is also a burgundy color and unfortunately I have the exact same color but under a different name :(

I picked up Goldenrod and Ricepaper.

Goldenrod is a orangy yellow, I first noticed it on a video I watched on youtube and I had no idea this color even existed. From the name I thought it was a golden shimmery eyeshadow or something like that but I was so wrong! Love this color!

I don't think I need to talk about Ricepaper, all I can say is GET IT!!!!!

I have the Pro Longwear foundation so I tought it was only natural to try the concealer as well!

I also got the Studio Finish concealer which I've heard so much about just to test it out.

I've run out of Studio Fix foundation last year in may and didn't want to buy a new one as I was testing other foundations out at that time but I've been missing it so much lately I had to get it back :)

I ran out of my blot powder so I thought I'd try something new and picked up Studio Careblend pressed powder can be used on its own or as a setting powder. I'm not really sure how I feel about this yet but so far so good, it has a nice coverage for a powder however it kind of feels heavy on the face.

I also got 3 bottles of the brush cleanser (yeah i never want to run out of it ever again!!) I had to use MUFE's one until the MAC store got their back in stock and it was a very long wait!!!

And to finish a picked up some makeup removing wipes, never tried MAC ones so bot a box of 100.

Voila!!!

I thought I'd start a new series called "Focus On..." where I'll highlight a particular product or brand that I have been loving and just feel like sharing what has been in my must haves!

For now lets make room for NYX eye/eyebrow pencils!

NYX probably has every single shade available!

I love the range of colors and the finishes as well. Some are matte and others are shimmery and last quite a long time!

But most importantly they are so easy to apply, very creamy (some a bit too much), extremely pigmented and affordable.

Not every brand offer such an range of shade and that is what drew me in!

I am addicted and I have to confess that I no longer pick up my GOSH pencils since I've got these and GOSH's pencils are pretty amazing!!

I really think they are worth a look and a try!

Now onto my favorite part: swatches!!!

95% of my lipliners are NYX and I have no complaint whatsoever!

They last all day on me, are very smooth and creamy and again there are plenty of colors to choose from!

Hello Biuties!

I thought I'd start a series about my favorite products! I've seen a few posts and videos like this and wanted to share as well.

I love these posts as I can extend my wishlist even more (as though that list isn't long enought) lol

Green is my least favorite color so I wanted to get this one out of the way first until I realised how much gorgeous greens I actually have.

Anyways here are my favorite!

Sumptuous Olive is veluxe pearl "subdued khaki with metallic coat". It is a great color for natural looks and the metallic brown undercoat is a so unique! GET IT!
Newly Minted is a matte vibrant green color, reminds me of salad lol!
Lucky Green is a veluxe pearl lime green, it has a beautiful yellow gold sheen and of course extremely pigmented! You can't go wrong with this shade... Definitely a must have!
Pearl 418 is another pearl finish dark green again the sheen brings out the gorgeous shade !

Shade #14 is a dark green pearl finish eyeshadow, its such a unique color I don't really know how to describe it... sometimes it looks green, sometimes its blue... But for £1 get it!
Midori is a vibrant green with a slightly pearl sheen, its almost matte though. SOOOO pigmented it will blow your mind!! Another green you shouldn't be allowed to live without...

Sleek palettes: Safari ; Jewels ; Curious

First of all I'm sorry that all these greens are from Sleek limited editions palettes, I didn't realise until it was kind of too late to change :(

You can still get dome of these on ebay though!

The Safari palette has a silvery green color, the duo tone of this color is so beautiful, great for a night out smoky look with a darker green or a simple black eyeshadow.
The Jewels palette has a dark metallic green, the color look great combined with a dark gold eyeshadow or just a nice dark brown
The Curious palette has 2 beautiful greens. The first one is a bluesy green, some say its blue, others claim its green; for me its in the middle so I can call it a green color. For some the sheen may be too much but I thinks it add to the uniqueness of the color. The other green color is a dark bronzy green. It looks like it has gold undertones and I need to get a look based around this one, such a pretty shade!!

Hello Biuties!

A few days ago I did a post and look inspired by this collection and I couldn't wait to get my hands on the actual palette! Of course I had to get the rest of the collection for blogging purposes (officially...)

As you can see the collection includes a Pout Polish (Sugar May); a blush (Pan Tao); and an eyeshadow palette (Paraguaya)
I have to warn you that this is an extremely pic heavy post!!!!

So far I like: "Redstone" "Persimmon" and "Tangelo" e/s

So far I hate: "Bellini" and "Sandstone"

-The blush-

This definitely looks like Nars "Gilda" blusher!! Pretty pretty pretty!!!

-Pout polish-

What I think:

I absolutely love this collection!

Love the colors and I think that this might be one of their strongest palettes.

The mix between shimery and mate eyeshadows is on point, the colors are pigmented without being too powdery and of course for the price you can't go wrong.

Also I do quite like the fact that with this palette you don't get a black e/s like all the previous palettes. The dark brown color really complements the rest and I can't wait to dip my brushes in the palette and share!

The blush is so beautiful and the best thing is that it isn't too ashy on darker skin tones.

To finish I like the pout polish, this is the first time I buy any of their pout polishes and so far I am quite surprised of how pigmented they are... a review will definitely have to be done!

For an everyday look I usually don't change the lid color. I however change the thickness of the eyeliner depending on what I want to go for.

Also instead of using a liquid eyeliner I use a kohl pencil along the lashline and "smoke" it to get a more natural line.

On the eyebrows I use an eyebrow kit by E.L.F and set it with an eyeshadow (MAC "Brun")

For the blush I tend to pick up "Gilda" a lot but I also like "Flushed" by Sleek as well as "Complex" by Illamasqua. "Raizin" by MAC is also a great shade for the everyday look.

I tend to leave my lower lashline bare just because I tend to have teary eyes and don't want to have eyeliner or mascara wiped off as soon as I put it on...

Amuse USA "Cocoa" Lipliner

Revlon "Rosy Nude" lipstick

I love bright lips so with a very simple eye look I can indulge on color here. Pink or red it all depends on what I'm wearing and my mood.

To celebrate spring and the latest Sleek collection I thought I'd do an all peach look!
I believe that peach is a beautiful color to have o whatever your skin tone.
It gives you a healthier and warmer shade especially on the cheeks but only with a light hand... You wouldn't want to be confused withe Katie Price's long lost cousin now would you?... Lol Just kidding!
Vive la Pêche!!
Pêche in french means peach (the fruit or the color) but it also means fishing (to fish)...
"Avoir la pêche" means to feel great, full of energy or to be on great form.
You could also say "avoir la banane" which means the same thing!
I of course am referring to the more fashionable, appealing and fruity side of the word... LOL

The wishllist...

Hello Biuties!!

Well its not really a wishlist since everything has already been bought...

I ordered everything below from the UK and had it delivered at my brother's so he could send them all to me. Most of this stuff is MAC and I could have had it delivered here directly but the french website receives new collections quite late and in a very limited quantity.
Within a day most of the products from a popular collection are sold out.

My brother has kidnapped my stuff and some items date back to november...

Boys will be boys I guess...

But I have definitely learned my lesson and will never send him my stuff ever again!!!!!

Pray fro me to get my stuff real soon :(

IMATS you say?!?

Well... not really!

When I went to MUFE last week, the sales lady and I got to talk makeup and I told her I had a blog and everything and she sent me an invitation to the 12th Salon de la Beauté "Black Beauty".

Its kind of a version of the IMATS but a lot less Grand!

I was so surprised I didn't even know that it was happening and the best news is that I don't have to wait to long to attend...

it's this weekend!!!!

I'm so so excited!

There are roughly around 50 brands and shops which range from makeup to hair, accesories, nails, dietitians and lots more.

So I'll definitely have a look and enjoy my time and I already have a few brands I know I will have to check out (MUFE, Sleek, Bourjois).

There are also brands that I know of but have never tried (Black Opal, Milani, Nacara) so its definitely a great opportunity to check out these brands and others that I didn't know existed.

I'll of course take picture, swatches and most definitely buy!!!

I still need to find someone reasonable to come with me though...

MUFE haul

Hello Biuties!

Up to yesterday I was a MUFE virgin!!

I was really in need of a brush cleanser so I decided to check out my local MUFE boutique.

Of course I got things that I wasn't planning on buying! lol

Anyways here's what I got that definitely wasn't planned!!

MUFE 12 Flash Colors

These are perfect to use as a base. I have heard so much about these so I had to pick it up.

This is definitely on the expensive side but there is a lot of product and I know it will last me a long time!

Stay tuned for a review probably sometime next month...

And finally I got the brush cleanser that I desperately needed!

This smells soooo bad, the smell of the alcohol is sickening but I need it and we'll see how it works for me...

The lady in the shop also gave me a makeup remover sample... we'll see how that works for me. If I like i may go ahead and buy the bigger bottle as finding a good makeup remover for me is like impossible since I've been here!

I'm quite happy with what I got, the hubby saw the ticket through the bag and just gave me "the look" and later on tonight I'm sure I'll have "the talk"... Lol

Hello Biuties!!!

MAC and me are having some kind of crisis...

I was sooo delighted when I moved to find out that I could order on MAC's french website and get my stuff delivered to my front door. I tried it once, it arrived within 2 days and I was so pleased that comfort was just a few clicks away.

Now since i had bought a lot of makeup before leaving England I didn't need anything from MAC until a few weeks ago.

I'm running out of brush cleanser as you can see from the picture and that is all I want to order.

So I do my usual clicking dance and there goes the MAC website telling me that my postcode is "invalid"...

Furious I call up MAC and ask if they no longer deliver here... I let you guess what the sad answer as :(

So I decided to send an email to MAC asking them where am I supposed to get MAC products now?! Needless to say that my email hasn't beeen answered. I sent another email a few days a go and still no answer!!!!

Ok I am miles and miles away from France but where I am is part of France and we have exactly the same services, postal service and all that and i just don't understand why so many companies don't ship here its just ridiculous!! I order stuff from England and the states with no problem and its so hard to find a french website that would ship here!! I just can't understand the logic of it.

The US MAC website ships to Hawaii so why is it that the french MAC website doesn't ship here?!!!

Sorry I'm ranting but I'm really pissed of at MAC for this and they better answer me!!!!!!!!!

Busy busy!

Hello dolls!

I've been so so busy for the past few days as my stuff has finally arrived and I'm busy unpacking it all and figuring out what goes where...

I'm glad to say that the makeup has been found *sight of relief*, however I haven't opened them up just because I have no where to put them at the moment.

At the same time I'm still painting my vanity, the paint takes forever to dry so we have to put a coat on every few days :( until then the makeup stays in the boxes and is not budging!

I was going for an IKEA type of vanity. I'm sure you've seen it on plenty of blogs and videos, its the one with the long drawer and with a glass top.

Keep in mind this is only the first coat so its unperfect.

The colour is off-white just because I think that white would be a bit too much

Once its all painted and dry I will have a glass top as well to finish it all off.

I haven't taken any pics of the drawer yet but I will for sure as soon as I clean it up a little :)

This is the vanity while it was being built... you can actually see how big the drawer is.

I have a great husband who helped me with this and it definitely allowed us to have lots of fun doing this little project. I was a complete novice and had to strip all of the wood with sandpaper and put wholes for the nails and OMG it was hard work!

But I'm nearly done and you shall see the results very soon :)))))
