The nail polishes...

Hello Biuties!

I feel its been ages since I've posted anything!

But I'm back briefly (at least for today) to show my nail polishes

I'm busy packing all the makeup and no one is allowed to pack them but me! I'm very particular in how I organize my stuff and I need to know where everything is. This is one of the small things I can do before the packing guys arrive.

So here is about 90% of my nail polishes. The last 10% are clear ones and brands of witch I just have 1 or 2 nail polishes and I just felt lazy putting them together for the picture...

Quick update!

Hello Biuties!!

I've kinda been MIA, its been a crazy week chasing down relocation companies to finally do their job, cancelling all my subscriptions (BT is doing my head in!), the dreaded dentist for more painful teeth removing (wisdom teeth) and finally my brother is here! 

That boy is so messy I'm not even gonna go there! And the tivo volume is on so high when he's here like he can't hear properly or something... Its definitely safe to say that I could never live more than 2 weeks with him, he'll just drive me crazy!

So I've been quite busy and I'll be busier as the week passes by oh and I have to pack my makeup I don't even know where to begin or what to take with me! HELP!

Anyways just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive and kicking, I'm just a busy bee right now!

Ebay Fuckeries follow-ups...

Hello pretty people!

Today I thought I'd look back at last week's ebay fuckery items and update you guys on which ones were sold and which ones are still being sold... In case you want another chance to get it.

This doesn't count as the weekly Ebay Fuckery posts, there will still be one this weekend :)

Last week #10 is such a chocker for  me!! it was "MAC lipstick and nail polish" item which  wasn't even shaped like a MAC product... and best believe that this foolishness has received 11 BIDS!!! 11!!! It also went for £7.19.. its just so wrong

The blatantly fake "MAC powder blush NO 06" (#7) sadly went for £7.99 after 3 bids :(

#3 was the "MAC Hello Kitty Beauty Powder blush" with the dodgy application brush. I'm extremely sad and devastated to say that it sold for the grand total of £9 and received 17 bids... SMH

And finally last week's #1 fuckery  was a "Hello Kitty powder blusher blush" which came in a Hello Kitty box but the blush actually was in a "Barbie loves Mac" packaging...

I am very sad to announce that someone has bid and paid of this foolishness... £7.19... the fact that that person was the only one bidding on this should have been a clue to them...

Lets all raise out voices and enthusiastically clap all of the sellers, bidders and buyers of all these "products" for their foolishness and entertainment :D

And just to let you know, the "Coca Cola 2010 Fifa World Cup can" that was #1 a few weeks ago is still beeing auctioned... Go grab it!!! lol

My Summer Essentials

Hello Biuties!!

As it is officially summer I thought I'd share what I'll be religiously using during the hot weather!

-Sun protection-

Finding sunscreen for the body is easy. You don't really think about it, but when it comes to finding something for the face that's when the headaches start.

I definitely wouldn't recommend using on your face what you use on your body as these types of moisturiser tend to be on the heavy side and contain quite a few oils. Now imagine having all that clogging your face!

Desptite all that I am happy to say that I have found my holly grail in that department. Again its from simple and the best things about it is that its UVB50 and oil free. Which means that I get the full protection without clogging my pores and having breakouts from the excess oils I'm putting on my face.

I have to stress that everyone should use some sort of sunscreen for the face and for exposed skin, no matter your skintone you still need it! Also sunscreen shouldn't be just worn when the sun is out. Even when its cloudy you still need it as UV rays aren't blocked by clouds and still filter through. Also no matter the season you need some sort of UV protection and the only thing that changes through the seasons and weather is the strenth of you sun blocker. You definitely don't need a SPF50 during the winter! And a SPF15 just isn't enough for the sunny months!!!

I'm so glad I decided to do a few videos before going to the dentist so that I can still keep you guys entertained while I was recuperating because right now I feel like S#!@!

I have to say that this is something I never ever do! I usually don't put color above my crease as I don't really like the look of it on me. But I actually do like it.

I'm busy today doing paper work. Its sooo boring but it has to be done :(

The situation with my bank has been resolved which is definitely a good thing. I received a 10 minute lecture from the customer service guy over the phone (trying to convince me it was my fault that someone hacked my account!! None sense!I've been using online banking for almost 6 years and never had any problem!!) That was fun! I really wanted to hung up on the guy but I'm too polite for that. I just put the phone down, on speakers and finished doing my dishes...

Anyways this week I will also get my wisdom teeth out, all 4 of them (OUCH!) 

I don't know why I'm not too nervous about it. I usually hate dentists but my dentist is very nice and the first thing he told me when I sat on the chair was "I know you're nervous, I'm nervous too so lets hope I don't crack!" Not what you want to hear for sure but it definitely broke the ice and amazingly I wasn't nervous anymore.

I have football fever! 

I usually never watch it. If I'm at home and my dad and brother are watching a game I wouldn't really watch. I'd be in front of the telly with my computer or just in another room.

However when world cup comes around I watch every single game (even the borring ones)

Its the perfect occasion to interact with people from different countries and also a perfect opportunity to insult their country knowing they will take it well :D lol

 I'm done talking!

I am sooo excited about this haul right here!

I've been drooling and dreaming and oohhinng and doing all sorts of weird noises each time I saw/ read a review on these. I would go on the website at least once a week just to check it was still available.

I don't even know why I didn't get these earlier instead of torturing myself that way.

The bright colors are right up my alley and the pigmentation of these are definitely worth every penny!

Anyways its all in my possesion now and its about time to show and tell.

  I shall warn you there are a lot of pictures...

Maybelline "The Falsies" Review

Another day, another review :D

This time its all about Maybelline "The Falsies" mascara, sister or cousin (whichever you fancy...) of the very famous (or unfamous) "The Collosal"

Maybelline says:

The Falsies Mascara delivers a false lash look; giving you a full set of voluminous, bold, fanned out lashes and the appearance of no gaps from any angle.

I have to say that I absolutely LOOVE "The Collosal" mascara and when I first saw the tv ad of "The Falsies" I was super excited and the next day it was standing proud next to all the other mascaras.

:::The good:::

Personally I love the packaging, I know a lot of people don't like how chunky the packaging is and the fact that it unnecesarly takes so much space doesn't help its cause. But I don't care I think its cute and I'd give it a 5/5 just because its purple! :p

The product description says that

The Falsies Mascara is designed to give the appearance of no gaps and spaces. In a wink lashes you didn’t even know you had look visibly thickened!

I couldn't have said it better myself!

With this mascara I discovered my inner lashes! I didn't even know they were there and I didn't know they were that cute! I think this is the major part that makes me love this mascara so much!

Besides that I really like the formula. At first it was too liquidy for me but after while the mascara dried up and that's when the magic happened! 

The brush is another positive for me. The curve of it makes it a lot easier to apply at least for me. I am quite clumsy with mascaras and have to be careful not to brush my lids while trying to brush the lashes but this brush really helps me avoid all that mess.

The brush and the formula really work well together when it comes to separate the lashes. Even afer 3-4 coats there are  no clumps and that means I can put tons and tons of mascara and still have nice define lashes!

:::The Bad:::

To be honest I don't know what to say... I guess for me the bad was the wetness of the formula. If I buy a mascara I want to be able to use strait ahead and not have to wait weeks or month for it to dry up a bit.

I guess that is it!

Bourjois Black & Diams mascara review

Today I'll be reviewing Bourjois Paris Volume Glamour "Black & Diams" mascara

First off I have to say that I LOOOVE Bourjois mascaras. I have tried almost every single one of them and in my opinion they are some of the best drugstore mascaras out there.
So each time they come out with a new one I'm there buying expecting it to be as good if not far better than the other ones I've already tried.

The "Volume Glamour" series comes in a variety of formulas (Ultra Black; Ultra Curl; Ultra Care)
The Black & Diams mascara was released during the Christmas period and was meant to help you "add" the festivity decorations to your lashes.
I tried to find a description of the product online but couldn't find any which is very weird but anyways lets get started.

::::The good::::

The packaging is very cute, I like how curvy the bottle is and it fits perfectly in the hand.

I also really like the idea behind the mascara, the idea of having a black mascara that has silver glitters in it specially for parties or going out, I think it gives the look something extra

The packaging says "Extra Volume mascara doubles volume of lashes, black lashes enhanced with silver glitter"... Sounds heavenly doesn't?
unfortunately this is where the good ends :(

::::The bad::::

The first time I applied it the amount of clumps I had after a single coat shocked me. It was really bad!! I thought I had done something wrong so a few days later I tried it on again and yep sure enough the same thing happened...

The other bad thing was the glitters... I couldn't see any! None!! I wanted my lashes to sparkle and all I ended up with was clumpy and gray eyelashes!

When I swatch I can see the glitters but I think that they are so thin that you don't see them anymore and they just turn the formula into a grayish paste that looks a right mess!
This really is a shame as I was really looking forward to positive results here!

::::Verdict::::
On paper it was a really good idea but in practice it was just wrong.
The formula really lets this one down!
Not only did it not double the volume of my lashes but the glitters were not strong enough!
Such a shame!

Although I definitely won't buy this one I'm curious about their Volume Glamour range and will definitely pick up the Ultra black one just to try.
Lets hope its not as bad as this one!

Summer Look!

This was my look yesterday.
I went out for a bit of shopping and went to the cinema all by myself! :(
Anyways in the video I go through everything I've done on my face including lips, cheeks and tinted moisturizer.

You don't have to watch the video if you don't want to, I know that not everyone does as usually explain everything in writing anyways and in a lot more details.

So here is a simple list of what I did

- Applied neutral e/s to the lids
[MAC "Texture" & "Tete-a-tint"]

- Lined the eyes with a liquid eyeliner
[L'oreal Superliner "Carbon Gloss"]

- Tightline the lower lashline with a green pencil eyeliner and set with green e/s
[GOSH "Lemon Soda" eyeliner pencil; MAC "Lucky Green" e/s]

- Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes
[Bourjois Elastic]

- Apply tinted moisturizer and set it with powder
[home made]

- Apply blush and bronzer if you feel like it
[MAC "Fever" & mineralize skinfinish "Brunette"]

- Take care of your lips, neutral or colorful its your choice!
[MAC "Sunsational" "Taupe" "Gold Rebel" lipglass]

Personally I need millions because even though I want to believe that what is in my wish list is all I want I know its not. We all know that once we get what we want, we still want more!!
A million will definitely put an end to my headaches and will last for a couple of years (or weeks according to the hubby!)

We always want more and more and since I've started blogging about makeup I have definitely spent a lot more than I used to.

This makeup business can definitely become an addiction, I'm addicted and I deal with it by giving my card to the hubby who's very very strict with me... NOT! I just need to give him the look and he gives that card back as if it was on fiya!
