Battle of the primers: review!

Hello Biuties!
Today its the turn of the primers.
Products featured:
L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Anti-Shine Mattifying Primer
MAC Skin Prep+Prime
MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder

L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Anti-Shine Mattifying Primer
I like this product with my Fashion Fair foundation as it helps it glide and blend a lot better, as for the mattifying effect I'm not sure it works probably because I use it with an oil free foundation and on top of everything use a mattifying powder. At least the combination works perfectly!

MAC Skin Prep+Prime
It makes my skin quite oily but as soon as I retouch its fine again. I like it just because it absorbs my foundation and helps it stay put and because of the beautiful sheen it gives to my face. Would I buy it again? I think I would just because of the result I see in it when I take pictures.

MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
I don't use it as a primer but as a setting powder. the MAC website says:
"Reduces shine while optically minimizing the look of pores, lines, imperfections"
And that is no lie!
As soon as I put this on I see the difference. Its a great setting powder despite the packaging which makes the use of this product quite messy.

Amazing makeup!

I found this video today and ooohhh I can't stop watching it!!
It a face "tutorial" from Makeup Atelier and the contouring work done on this lady is so perfect I wish I could do that everyday!
And the crease as well I'm in awe!
I think I might try to reproduce this look... emphasis on "try"!

Busy rearranging & giveaway

Hello biuties!
Today no review because I'm rearranging my makeup storage and everything.
Because of the reviews the place was a complete mess, I couldn't find anything anymore and since my stash is growing I need more space.
So today that's what I'm doing! I of course will have pictures up as soon as I'm finished and satisfied with the result.
And review week will resume tomorrow with the battle of the primers!

Onto more exciting things the giveaway!
By the end of next week it will be up. As I will be spending the very long Easter weekend in London with my family I'll pick up some of the things that I still want you guys to have.
Since I was supposed to do one when I had 150 followers (and didn't do) and I'm very close to 200 now I thought I'd do a massive giveaway with some MAC, Inglot, Revlon, Sleek and other bits and bobs. I'm quite excited actually can't wait for next week!

I still have a question for you guys:
If you were to win an Inglot palette what colors would you like (neutral, blues, bright colors...), Just tell me what you'd fancy.

Fashion Fair liquid foundation review

Hello Biuties!
The long awaited review of the Fashion Fair liquid foundation is here!!
I was supposed to post this yesterday but Youtube was getting on my nerve so finally uploaded it during the night.

The good:
It is a perfect shade for me, the closest match I have ever found to date!!
The sturdiness of the packaging
It is oil-free & frangrance free which is great for problematic, sensitive skin or oily skin
It give a beautiful glowy finish without looking shiny

The bad:
It does not have a pump!! and you can't buy any separately
It doesn't contain any SPF (protects against the rays of the sun -UV)
It dries pretty fast which give you less time to blend efficiently

The ugly:
Although I like this foundation there are only 4 shades available and mine is the lightest (Tender Brown) and I am a NC50! It is great news for ladies darker than me and who have dark skin with red undertones but if you are lighter you might not find that it matches you.

Overall
I love this foundation, mixed a good primer it gives a beautiful finish and most importantly for me it does not make my face "shine" after 10 minutes.

The brand in general has been around for a pretty long time and caters for WOC only. It does have an extensive range of skincare products as well as makeup.
Before buying this foundation I had a pretty bad opinion of the brand because of a past experience but still decided to give it a go and I definitely don't regret it!

If you have a very dark complexion you might find your happiness as everything with regards to makeup and skincare is aimed to compliment your skintone, from the lipsticks to the blushes the colors are designed to actually show and work for your complexion.
However I think that if you are lighter than a NC 45 you might struggle to find something that will suit you, except from the "Fast Finish foundation" range.
The only problem with the "concept" of the brand is that there isn't much color to choose from when it comes to eyeshadows and blushes, everything is on the neutral side which can be a bit boring. However I believe that whatever your skintone you can buy makeup from every brand out there but there is a limit when it comes to foundation and concealer and I think that Fashion Fair is the only brand out there that I have seen that has foundation for very dark skin and I was very impressed by that.

So next time you pass in front of a Fashion Fair counter stop and have a look you might be pleasantly surprised!

I don't know why my eyebrows are purple on the pic... its veeery odd

Mascaras Review [Pic heavy!]

Hello Biuties!
To start of review week I went with the mascaras that I use the most.
I love both of them and really want to try some of these:
Bourjois 1001 Lashes Intense ultra black pigment with quartz
Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express Ultra Black mascara
Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express mascara

But for now on to the ones that I already have:
[Click pictures to have a much better look]

Verdict!
Definitely my favorite! Great for definition and length and very lightweight!
I would recommend no more than 2 coats as it can get too clumpy beyond that.

Verdict:
Although I love this mascara a single coat is the way to go. Beyond that it just gets too messy for me! Its great for volumising and add fullness to the lashes but restraint is definitely needed here!

-Eyes-
MAC "Texture" & "Lucky Green" e/s
Sleek Storm palette
GOSH "Lemon Soda" pencil eyeliner
Maybelline eye definer eyeliner
Bourjois "1001 Lashes"

-Lips-
Inglot red pan lipstick
MAC clearglass lipgloss

-Cheeks-
NARS "Exhibit A" blush
MAC "X-Rocks" blush on top

Upcoming Sleek "Circus" palette!

Hello Biuties!
I was on the facebook page of Sleek just now and someone was asking about a "Circus" sleek palette and when it would be released.
I was puzzled as there's a palette that was just released and I wasn't expecting words about another palette until much later.
So apparently this will come out "later" according to Sleek and it looks like a palette full of bright colors, perfect for summer I'd say... (hint?!)
Anyways here's the picture, I must say I'm liking the palette in pink!
What so you think? Would you buy it?

I'll be MIA again!!!

Hello Biuties!
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy busy.
It was my last week with the husband before he goes back tomorrow :(. I'm so so so so sad but at least I know when I'll see him again!
So needless to say tomorrow I'll be in an ugly state!!!
Luckily my mum is coming to visit this week as well, so is my brother so I'll have my hands full with those two.
I always have a great time with my brother, we always end up laughing and annoying each other so I know he won't be too much work. And I haven't seen my mum since the wedding so it'll be sooo refreshing to see her and catch up. If only my sister could be here as well there would have been loads of shopping done! I think my dad is supposed to come as well but I don't even know, I don't even know when exactly will my mum be here... these people are sooo vague!lol

So just to say that I'll have my hands full so I won't post as often as I would like.
At least when I return there will be loads of stuff to post about.
I'll have a review week (some stuff were meant to be reviewed in October and I haven't even gotten to it!). As well as the giveaway! Promise no more delaying this time!

I'll see you all in a week! And if you can't wait that long follow me on twitter as I know my mum will give me loads to tweet about... lol

Night out look!

Hello Biuties!
Here is my glittery going out look
I love love luuuuve those lashes and finally found something to do with the glitters so expect a few more looks with them!
Its a look a did really quickly so it doesn't look perfect, had it on for like 15 minutes than off it went!
I still love it thought but here is a few things I would first recommend (practice makes perfect):
Blend very well your base or else it will crease like crazy!
It is important to set your base with some powdered eyeshadow to stop it from budging
On the lashline it would be better to use waterproof pencil eyeliner as if you're wearing this look to go party or something it is bound to leak!
Have fun with it mixing and matching different glitter colors.
Be fabulous :D
