What I've been up to!!!

Hello Biuties!
I hope your weekend was great and you lot got a lot of rest!
I just wanted to update you on things to come in the week.
  • I've been thinking about doing videos for a while and I've decided to go ahead and just do it. It will be fun and will definitely stop my post from being too long sometimes. I first have to get a grip of the whole editing process and all. I already know that my first video will just be an very nervous introduction and probably followed by a "my collection/makeup storage" video.
  • I have been testing 2 different primers of mine and will review and compare!
  • Hauls will be up as well, Sleek, NYX, and ELF as some kohl pencils I found
  • And probably a face routine video, not sure yet but we'll see!
So there you go and I'm as its Monday why not start the week with one of my absolute favorite artists
His name is Corneille and he normally sings in french but he made an album in english last year or the year before I don't remember.
The song is called "Spending on you" from his album "The Birth of Cornelius"
Enjoy!

No Fotd today, Just a puffy face!

Hello Biuties!
Yesterday I wrote a post about all the posts that I wanted to put up for today.
Sadly it will have to wait for tomorrow.
Being so lazy I didn't feel like doing my eyebrows this morning so I decided to go and get pampered instead and have a facial along with a facial threading.
The facial was so nice but the threading OMG!
It was so painful my eyes kept tearing up and the poor lady felt so sorry. But of course I couldn't leave with only a half face done so I had to brave it and let the girl finish.
My face has been burning all afternoon, I feel the pain of that threading and I just couldn't put any makeup on.
At least my face in neat now!
I usually just pluck or wax and wanted to see what all the talk about threading was about.
Not only did I see it but I felt it big time.
Strangely enough, I think I'll do it again. The results definitely overshadow the pain...
Pictures up tomorrow!

What I've been up to!!!

Hello Biuties!
Its been a few days since I last updated something on here.
I've been pretty busy with cleaning the flat out.
Since the hubby left I had all my time to do a HUGE clean out!
So I spent the weekend cleaning the flat from top to bottom
and it helped me forget how quiet the place is now.
So right now everything is clean and I'm even afraid to cook because that oven is so shiny I don't want to mess it up!!
Another thing I've been up to is my digital art.
I haven't done anything in months but wanted to pick it up again.
But as of tomorrow I'll be back with a haul and hopefully a look of the day.
And I'll be ambitious and say I'll do my nails and put up my nail of the week pic.
Have a good day!

MAC Haul

As Part of my new found "adventurousness" with products I went to MAC last week wanting to buy something(s) from the holiday collections but didn't know what to get.
To be honest I wasn't really impressed with what was there
  • I didn't want tot get the eyeshadow palettes because to be honest I knew I wouldn't have used them, and the colors weren't that special.
  • I didn't want to get anything from the "Magic, Mirth and Mischief" collection as nothing caught my eyes, except the Mineralise Blush in "Conjure Up" which I really really liked!
  • I didn't want the brush bags because I already have most of the brushes so it was pointless.
  • I didn't want the lips bags because I didn't like the range of stuff.
So the only thing I got was an eye bag.
It was the only bag that had things I didn't have yet. I don't have a single MAC pigment, fluidline and mascara so it was the perfect bag to try those out.
I chose the "Alakazam! Chocolate" eye bag.
It includes "Melon" Pigment, "Rich Ground" Fluidline, "Zoomblack" Zoom Lash, and the 209SE Eye Liner Brush.
I'm really happy of what bought. I don't regret leaving all the beautiful packaging behind and I know that I'm goign to use what I bought so it was a smart buy and I'm proud :)
Enough talking, here are the pictures!

Cosmetics Chritsmas Wishlist!

Hello Biuties!!
As you all know by now I like change.
And right now I feel like I'm in a rut with my makeup and want to try things that I keep reading about and want to try myself but I'm afraid to step out into the "unknown"
Plus I my wallet is very very afraid of getting too adventurous.
For the moment I have stuck with my MACs and my drugstore products and haven't really tried the "high end" of the spectrum.
I'm talking about brands like Nars, Illamasqua, Stila or Urban Decay and the list goes on and on.
The problem with that is that I don't live near stores that have all those brands readily available.
To get all that I have to travel to London which is just a 40 minutes train ride away, but I'm not fond of London at all.
I just think its too crowded and every single time I go I get lost somehow...
I usually only go when I have something important to do there, so I'll take the whole day and go shopping or something.
Anyways I definitely want to try some of those brands, specially Illamasqua and Stila.
I also want to try MUFE and I have yet to find a shop that sell those. I don't really like buying makeup online, you never know what you might end up with...
Products are not only on my top list to tackle, I also need to experience with techniques.
  • How to apply foundation with different types of brushes or sponges.
  • I need to experiment with primers and moisturizers and skin routines.
  • And I definitely want to get a hang of contouring (witch will include my hunt for the perfect highlighter and contouring products)
  • Falsies will also make their appearance. I'm practicing so I'm definitely getting better at that!I have loads of falsies that are just waiting for me... be patient dearests I'm on my way!
I have no clue what products to buy but I'll need to get my face in front of the counters to know what I want.
If you have any suggestion feel free to share!!!

Love and Marriage!

I'm on fire today!!!

Yesterday was my parent's! 27th Anniversary!!

And I'm really really happy that they are still together at this time.
I can count on 1 hand the number of friends I have who's parents are still together.
I won't say that I hope because I KNOW that my marriage will last that long!
After 3 children, a life on the move and family in all its shapes and form, they are an inspiration to me and my husband.
I simply wish them 1000 more years together, they are beautiful to watch together and the support and strength that they give to one another is what makes me so proud today!

I love them both
And will sip some champagne again today
(lets just make the moment last...)

X Factor

I had to post about it at some point right...
Like the whole of the UK nation I have been drowning in everything X Factor
However I don't follow what the contestants do on their websites or what all those gossip magazines say about them (I like them to be pure in my mind :))
But I'm going to talk about the whole Jedward thing.
It was funny at first because there were some people there that would have never won, then it was ok because it was funny to watch and now its become absolutely ridiculous!!

Last week I was already so so happy when the twins were in the bottom 2 and then they got saved, I went to bed in disbelief and then I got angry.
For those contestants the show is the chance of their lives and if I was in there I would be pissed that people would keep around 2 guys that can't even sing and who are far worse than I am and they keep them in just because "its funny"!!!
Its a freaking singing competition!!!!!!
The same thing happened last year with Laura White (Who has a new album coming out btw) and a few years ago in the US with that Sanjaya caracter.
I still don't understand why people were keeping him around when he clearly had no talent...
Anyways, I'm begging the people that vote to STOP VOTING FOR JOHN AND EDWARD!
It's become a matter of personal health now
And my hubby can't take anymore of me screaming at the tv...
Thank you :D
