My product of the week is my 28 neutral eyeshadow palette that I bought on ebay. I've done neutral looks pretty much everyday last week and this palette has come in very handy!!!
I love that there are different finishes and that the colors will suit any skin-tone!
The palette is cheap, very useful even if it tend to be too powdery :((
I still love it therefore its under my spotlight this week!

My find of the week isn't really a "find" its just kind of a "reminder" and its about beauty products you can buy on ebay.
Everyone can tell you ebay is a great place to buy cheap stuff in the comfort of your home but the downfall with that (just like with any online purchase) is that you can't verify the quality and authenticity of the product. So many people find themselves with bogus beauty products and nasty surprises.
Luckily I haven't had such bad experiences yet (touch wood...) and trained my eye to spot the fake one from the real deal.
This week I was looking for MAC eyeshadows on ebay and there was this listing for a MAC eyeshadow in "Passionate" and the seller wrote in the item description that it was a MAC eyeshadow and the box had the "advantage" of having under the eyeshadow a mirror and an applicator.
I thought to myself poor person, maybe she doesn't know that those ones are fake...

MAC eyeshadows do not have mirrors or applicators!!!

I doubt the person was aware of that thought... poor soul!
A few month back I saw a listing of someone selling MAC eyeshadows (buy it now type of listing). and if you bought the product you got to choose your shade. The person had group pictures of the eyeshadows and you could clearly see that some had mirrors and applicators and she even did a close-up on those.

Yet they were advertised as 100% genuine MAC products.

I sent the seller a question asking if she was sure they were 100% genuine knowing that MAC don't sell in that type of container. Needless to say I never received an answer...

I found this usefull guide on what is fake and what isn't.
Just do a quick google or youtube search and you'll find tons of information and pictures to help.

Wow that was some rant... sorry lol

But yeah just to say be careful of what you buy on ebay.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is...

FOTD Of the past week!

This week I just did simple looks, I bought a few MAC eyeshadows on ebay and I'll post pictures tomorrow along with another purchase I made and which I absolutely love :)

Nails Inc. Haul!

Not much to say, here's what I received during the week from my various Nails Inc orders.

At the same time I also ordered a "Weak, peeling, bendy nails treatment solution" for £20
And when you spend £30 or more you get a free InStyle magazine as well as a free nail polish (boxed at the far right of the pic, its "Coral")

[Received from the Fabulous magazine offer (get 1 free nail polish - "Montrose Place" - and just pay £1 for postage) and I got another discount from nails inc. (40% save for any products I choose) and chose the pastel collection, so instead of paying £20 for it I paid £12]

I'm happy with everything I got, was a bit surprised that they don't send you an invoice along with your parcel which isn't good because if you have a problem with your order or anything like that there's not much you can do without the invoice :(

But overall happy with the products, very unhappy with the company :(

I'm so sorry I have been away for the week.
My internet connexion has been down during all the week
Needless to say how frustrated and angry and miserable I have been all week
And surprise this morning it was on!!!
I feel like popping some champagne today!

Today I have so much stuff to catch up on its crazy!

At the mo' my life is about to get hectic, I'm house hunting, I have my weeding at the end of next month and have tons of stuff to still do and I have work at the same time [thank god I work from home!]

2)Nails Inc.

I don't think I want to order from them again. I'm so not happy with their service its not even funny.
I received the free nail polish and the other stuff I ordered with it during the week, 1 FULL MONTH AFTER I ORDERED!!!
And when I contact them they said it had already been dispatched and a week after I receive an email saying that my package had just been dispatched with Royal Mail

I don't like being lied to.

UUUrrgghhh it made me so so so angry!!
At least I finally received it and have another thing I ordered.
Will have a haul post about all that.

I'm sure I have other stuff to say but don't remember right now.

I'll update on this post as soon as I remember something...

The giveaway...

We are dangerously aproaching the 50 followers which means that I need to get my shopping on so that I can be as prepared as I can be. And of course I can have pictures on.
I think I'm gonna have to make the giveaway less grand that I originally wanted it to be.
I have been overwelmed with things to buy this month and its all because of MAC!!!
4 collections out in 1 month is too much for my wallet to handle Lol
Anyways I'm planning a trip to London with my boo but this weeks the weather won't be great so we may have to push the trip back a week :(
I live 1h away from London and absolutely hate going there! Somehow I just keep getting lost in that city and its just too crowded for me but its good to see a different setting once in a while
So will probably be buying everything there and then.

As mentioned this weekend, I had to use the purple lips on today's look.
Following your comments I did a simple neutral look on the eyes and for once didn't mix my lipstick with anything!

I have my little bow that I adore, isn't it cute!!

On eyes I have "Sable" and "Brun" from MAC

On lips "Up the Amp" from MAC

On cheeks 2True blusher in shade #4

Can I just say how much I loooove "Sable". After seeing that so many people had it in their kit and reading loads of reviews about it I had to have it! And I love it. I think its going to become my new favourite...

The purple lips...

Its weekend so no makeup for me!
And yesterday I was so lazy to put on makeup I just had lipstick on and guess which one it was!!!

My new absolute favoriiite!!

"Up the Amp"

I decided to play around with it and tried the purple lipstick a bought during the week in a small makeup shop and the result is so purple-icious I love it!!
Can't way for monday when I'll do a full look with it.

Palette swatches

I love swatches!
I tried to add these pictures to the "new" palette post but I don't know why blogspot is angry with my pictures :(

I want more purples, reds and pinks.
My biggest deception were "Trax" (It looked gorgeous and I love the gold reflects and all but all you actually pick up are the reflex and not the purple :()
And "Forgery" which isn't swatched here because its pointless. It was my first MAC e/s and I don't even know why I bought it. No pigmentation at all and its ugly and yuck. I still keep it coz I love looking at it LOl

New lippy Haul!!

Hello Biuties!

Its 2.30am, can't sleep because I slept all evening and the man is snoring like there's no tomorrow!!! So I'm blogging lol.

First of, thank you for all the comments on the "new" palette and the propositions about the next e/s I should buy.
I took notes of all of them and wanted to swatch them at my MAC store when going to pick up my free lipstick.
But my plans were cut short as the man was literally holding my wallet so that I didn't buy anything. He wasn't even buying the swatching argument... How rude eh! So I'll have to sneak out and check them out some other time.
At least he let me get my free lippy although he tried to choose the shade (btw don't let man choose your makeup for you they just pick all of the wrong colors and I'm sure they do it on purpose!)
So as I'm in my purple lippy phase I picked up "Up The Amp" which is so gorgeous I had to have it!!




I'm so exited about this one I have to put it on during the day tomorrow.
But there is the hot new pink one I bought a few days ago that I want to try as well...
So many choices!

What do you think e/s color I should use with the purple lipstick?

"New" Palette

Since I've been buying quite a few MAC eyeshadows I wanted to put them in a bigger palette and by depotting them I could get a free lippy :)))
After yesterday's delivery I put everything in the same palette
I bought the palette on ebay from a seller called Jolieeeee, I buy most of my palette from her because I like her prices and she generously combines the shippings.

Anyways here's my "new" palette:

You get all your eyeshadows in one place and you can see everything and it takes a lot less place.

Pressing pigments

Hello Biuties!

The subject that is on my mind today is pressing pigments.
I don't own any MAC pigments, I have 14 BarryM pigments and I already tried to press about 7 of them and it was a disaster.
Here's what I ended up with:

A huge mess!!!

I did loads of research before doing it and it turned out fine at first but after a few days it was just crumbling away. At least I saved the pigments and got them back in their respective pots.
My problem with pressing pigments is that I don't know the consistency it is supposed to have and exactly how much alcohol I need to put in there.
In all the 7 pigments that I pressed only 2 hold up :(
I'll give it another try this weekend.

So if any of you have any advice please do share :D

HAUL HAUL HAUL!!

This august is definitely MY month!!
And for my birthday I got spoiled left right up and down and I'm so so happy right now!
I got treated to £100 of anything MAC from someone special and my order came in today :D

So here's what I got:

9 MAC eyeshadows (From left to right)

Goldmine, Sable, Freshwater, Sumptuous Olive, Newly Minted,
And from the "Love that Look" collection: Strike a Pose, Rated R, One-Off, Fashion Groupie.
And finally the final Item I wanted from the Graphic Garden collection the Define and Blend brush bag. I don't own any of the brushes in that bag except the 190.




All these definitely ticks off a lot of stuff in my MAC wish list!
But as usual a girl is never fully satisfied :D

Find of the day!!!

Yesterday I spent the day in town with my man and we just went out to walk around not wanting anything in particular.
He spotted this little shop full of no name brands nail polishes and makeup that we'd never seen before and I just had to get in there and have a look.
They had loads of nail polishes for £3 each but I didn't get any as in the back on my mind I had BarryM nail polishes that are cheaper and that I know.
They had loads of lipsticks and lipglosses as well but I was attracted by the lipsticks.
I bought 3 for £1 each.

I absolutely adore that "Cerise" color. Its HOOOT!

[On the top is the hot pink, I loooove it!!! And on the bottom lip is the purple one]

I'm excited right now at that shop and because of the cost of those but I have to calm myself down first and see how long the color will stay on at least I can say that its quite moisturizing!
